Why I Am Running
I strongly believe in the concept of the citizen legislator, a person who has not made politics a career, but who can bring years of real world experience to the job of representing the citizens, all of the citizens, of the 4th Congressional District. I pledge to limit my tenure, if elected, to 6 terms.
I believe that strong efficient Government works. I believe Government works best when the people elected to serve in that Government strive to make it work.
I am appalled by the way Congress has functioned in the last term, where the majority Party has pushed for political dominance at the expense of the well being of the Country. I will put the well being of the Nation above political fortune.
I am concerned for our Country’s economic future. I seek to develop a job growth environment in the District that will bring good manufacturing and high technology jobs into the District. I see the Federal Government as being able to stimulate that environment through existing and new programs.
I recognize the need for a strong public education system in the District, where students are prepared for higher education and the high technology job market of tomorrow. The Federal Government can be used to leverage funding for that enhanced school system.
I see that we must maintain the environment as a legacy to our children’s children. Forming working groups between the agricultural/manufacturing businesses, townships, municipalities, boroughs, State, and Federal Government will allow the issues preventing the improvement to our air and water to be resolved.
